The adhesives of the TAICA OPT Alpha Gel family are optically clear silicone adhesives that fill air gaps between touch screens, glass, and LCD displays.

The so-called optical bonding increases the lifespan by providing additional heat dissipation from the LCD, enhances the robustness of the overall system, and achieves a significant improvement in color representation, brightness, and contrast.

In addition to electronic displays, the OCA adhesives are used in a variety of other applications such as light guiding, vibration damping, and reflection monitoring in the sensor technology sector.

Compared to liquid optical bonding, OCA allows for precise thickness determination of component stacks, does not require resting and curing times during production, and can be precisely shaped to fit exactly in the working area.
